Web of the Spider Queen

D&D Encounters is a weekly Wednesday ongoing in-store campaign, playable in one encounter per week (approximately 1-2 hours play time). Players earn experience and treasure for their characters as they participate in a compelling ongoing story arc that lasts for a few months.

Adventure Background

Long past are the days when drow ruled over Shadowdale from the Twisted Tower—or are they? Beneath the sleepy farming community, an old evil stirs. The drow and their foul Underdark minions have set eyes on the Dalelands, but to what end is anyone’s guess. Now, it’s up to an unlikely band of adventurers to defend Shadowdale from the drow threat and learn what Lolth and her villainous followers are up to. Success means a respite from danger. Failure could doom the surface world.

Monday Night Magic

Magic: The Gathering Booster Drafts
Entry Fee: $15
Time: 90-180 minutes
Attendance: 8 Player Flights
Prizes: 1st Place = 8 Booster Packs - 2nd Place = 4 Booster Packs

Starting at 5pm we open registration for Booster Drafts. Booster Drafts are an 8-player single elimination event. Entry fee is $15. Prizes are Eight (8) Booster Packs to 1st place and 2nd place receives Four (4) Booster Packs. We will run multiples of these events for every 8 players registered. Due to the time a draft takes, we unfortunately cannot start a draft on Monday after 7:30pm. Magic: The Gathering Commander (EDH) Free-For-All!
Entry Fee: $5
Time: 30-90 minutes
Attendance: 4 Player Flights
Prizes: 1st Place = 3 Boosters - 2nd 3rd & 4th = 1 Booster

Starting at 5pm we open registration for Commander (EDH) Free For All. The participants play in one 4-Player multiplayer game. All decks should follow the deck construction rules of Commander, and no proxies may be included. We will run these in 4-player flights. As soon as we have 4 participants sign up, we begin the event and begin sign-ups for the next. The average 4-player Commander game will last 30-90 minutes. Friday Night Magic

Friday Night Magic [FNM]
The first Booster Draft and the Standard are FNM (FridayNightMagic) events. In each FNM event, one of the current month's FNM Promo card is awarded to 1st place, 2nd place, and two other random participants. All of these events are described in more detail below. Note Friday Booster Drafts prizes are different than Monday Booster Drafts prizes. For DCI Rankings; the FNM are 8k Value events, any additional Booster Drafts will be 16k.

Magic: The Gathering Standard FNM
Entry Fee: $5
Time: 4-5 Hours
Round Length: 50 Minutes
Attendance: 32 Player Maximum

Starting at 4:30pm we open registration for FNM Standard. The FNM Standard is a Swiss Round Standard Format Constructed tournament with a max attendance of 32 players. Entry fee is $5. Prereleases

Yottaquest hosts prereleases for each set released, for more information check out the MTG Page or calendar.

Prereleases are held in a Sealed Format.

There will be a number of Swiss rounds based on attendance. Swiss rounds will have 50 minute time limit. Each player receives 6 booster packs to use for building a deck.
